Hebrews in a hundred words

God who spoke to the fathers has now spoken through His Son Jesus, the Mediator of a new and better covenant. By his death our sins are purged, and it is time to let go of our devotion to the temple and the Law.

What the High Priest did on the Day of Atonement each year, Christ – an eternal High Priest of the order of Melchizedek – has done once for all. He has entered the Holiest with his own blood, and we can have boldness to enter God’s presence through faith in him.

“Let us go forth … bearing his reproach.”
