God can know no equal: “I am the LORD, and there is none else … I form the light, and create the darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” (Isaiah 45:5-7)

So why is the Bible so full of references to Satan and to a devil? It is this question that the late Peter Watkins addresses in this logical, scripture-based study. But he discusses not merely the negatives – evil, sin, and the question of whether there is a “great deceiver”: he foes on to deal with the contrasting positives – obedience, redemption, and the perfection to be seen in the Lord Jesus Christ. In this modest volume we have not merely a refutation of error, but an abundance of upbuilding exhortation. We are encouraged to accept responsibility for our own sins and to draw on the forgiveness that is available in Jesus Christ.
