This is the third book on the exposition of the Psalms; the remainder are to be compounded in a fourth book to complete the series.

This section is characterised by many psalms from the sons of Asaph and sons of Korah and a lesser percentage from David.

This variety contains many of the best known and most loved of the Psalms: for 3000 years these spiritual songs have meant so much to those of mankind that have been able to know them. They cater for almost every occasion in mortal life, both tragic and happy, personal and national, present and in the glorious future Kingdom of God.

Some of them are clearly Messianic but all of them in some way lead us to Christ.
