Privacy and Cookie Policy

This is how the Christadelphian Magazine and Publishing Association (CMPA) deals with your data.

Why does the CMPA hold data?

As a customer of the CMPA we need your details to fulfil orders made.

What information is held?

Usual data held includes names, addresses, emails and phone numbers. We do not store financial information, such as credit or debit card details. If it is necessary for the CMPA to make payments directly into your bank account these details will be stored at the CMPA’s bank, NatWest Bank plc.

What is the data used for?

Customer data is only used for normal business purposes such as fulfilling orders, raising invoices and collecting payments. It is not used for marketing purposes without express permission having been given.

Where is the data held?

Data is stored on the CMPA systems and is only available to CMPA employees for the purpose of carrying out their duties.

Who else has access to the data?

No one outside the employees of the CMPA has access to the data. It is not shared with third parties or other organisations.

On what legal basis is the data held?

Under the General Data Protection Regulations, which came into force on 25th May 2018, the lawful basis for holding data is ‘contract’.

Can I have my data deleted?

Yes. Please contact the CMPA (enquiries@thechristadelphian.com) if you wish this to be done. If a customer account becomes inactive the data is deleted after three years.

Cookies

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
